PRIVACY POLICY

We at Sunderland Army Surplus are committed to protecting your privacy and information. We follow all Internet and Distance Selling Regulations (which can be found here and here) and we will NEVER sell your information to any third party.

Cookies may be used to give you a more personalised shopping experience and to allow us to understand how our customers use our website. We will use this information to improve our website and adjust company policies in our attempt to constantly improve our service to you.

GRADING AND STOCK LEVELS

NEW - As it says on the tin. May be in packet but not always.

UNISSUED/SUPERGRADE - A Surplus item that is essentially new but may have been stored for a period of time

GRADE 1 - A used item in good condition. May have small signs of wear, pen marks, name tags, insignia, small professional repairs etc

GRADE 2 - Obvious signs of more use than Grade 1 but completely serviceable. May have signs of repair, frayed material, stains, missing buttons or poppers etc.

Unless the item is individually described and sold as an individual item, then all pictures are stock pictures and not necessarily the one you will receive.

All our items are ex stock. We do sell on Third Party platforms and as such mistakes can occur in stock levels. In case of an item being Out of Stock in your order you will not be charged. Please be aware that the majority of surplus items have a 'storage smell'.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS

At present we offer two methods of shipping within the UK.

3-5 Business Days - £4.50 (Free with orders over £100)

2-3 Business Days - £5.95 (Free with orders over £125)

We also offer Free Local Hand Delivery within 5 miles of Sunderland SR1 post code.

Highlands, Northern Ireland, IOM, IOW, Channel Isles and Scilly Isles will incur an additional cost due to the extra charges made by the courier.

We do not post internationally at present.

Returns - Please approach the subject of returning items in a friendly manner. We strive to give you the best experience we can offer but mistakes do happen, please don't immediately jump to the conclusion we have tried to rob you. We are a friendly, honest company and will resolve your issue in a fair and balanced way.

Please notify us of any problem with your order within 5 working days of receipt. In the event of a mistake being made on our behalf we will cover all return postage costs to rectify the error. Customer is responsible for return postage costs for all other reasons. All items must be returned to us in the condition they were sent to be accepted for a refund, exchange of size etc and may be subject to a 10% restocking fee.

ORDERS

We accept all major debit and credit cards along with Paypal through a secure payment page. Prices displayed are in GBP and inclusive of VAT. Payment to be made via the website on completion of check out.

We reserve the right to change product prices at any time.

Purchases

All purchases made from Sunderland Army Surplus are governed by these Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions governing any purchase will be those in effect at the date of your order. We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

We will acknowledge receipt of your order as soon as possible by email.

Prices are liable to change without prior notice.​

Payment for orders will be according to the trading terms that have been agreed in advance. Payment may be made by Credit/Debit card or PayPal. We reserve the right to refuse delivery if these terms are not adhered to.

The debit and credit cards accepted by us are those listed on the web site on the date on which your order is placed.

Prices are excluding shipping. Shipping costs will be calculated on check out.

Delivery

Delivery will be made to your registered address, unless specified in the notes.

​Delivery times are approximate only, although we strive to have your order with you as soon as possible.

It is your responsibility to ensure that delivery will be accepted upon arrival and a suitable person is available at the delivery address.​​

Returns​

Goods may be returned, if agreed by Sunderland Army Surplus at the purchasers cost, unless it is agreed that the mistake was made by ourselves. 

Unless advertised as New, goods are sold in surplus condition. Most goods are purchased used.

Many surplus goods are not new and are bought in their original condition. Buyers accept products may vary from images shown. No guarantee / warranty is given or implied with regard to any used item.

Claims for shortages in the order, damaged goods or incorrect goods must be notified to Sunderland Army Surplus quoting your order number within 5 days of delivery. 

All customers have the right to cancel their order under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations.

Your right to cancel an order for goods starts the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.

While we endeavour to verify the accuracy of any information we place on the website, we make no warranties in relation to its accuracy. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account and any activities that occur under your account. Sunderland Army Surplus shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise as a result of any failure by you to protect your password or account.
